10 Life Rules to Live by
A loss is not a complete loss or failure if you learn from them. Loss and failure is a part of life, it will happen, accept it, learn from it and better things will come.
What we think we want is sometimes different from what we actually need. Many times in life we will not get what we desire, but this is often a blessing in disguise.
Understand that sometimes great achievements require great risk. If it was easy to achieve great things then everybody would be doing it.
Take responsibility for your actions. Taking responsibility is a very mature and likable characteristic, if you made a mistake, apologize for it, learn from it and move on.
Look after the planet. The Earth gave us life and in return we should look after it, not to mention there are other creatures living on this planet and we shouldn’t ruin it for them.
Spend some time alone to think. While it can be great to be around others and hear the advice from friends, family and even strangers. Sometimes the best thing to do is quiet out all the voices and opinions so that you can focus on yourself and decide what you really want.
Don’t be opposed to change. We often get stuck in our ways and often change seems scary. However what once seemed scary can turn out to be one of the best decisions we ever made. Learn new skills and visit new places, it helps to keep us young and expands our minds.
Pass on important lessons learned. You can try and do this anyway, often people will not listen, however a few might if they are wise enough to listen. Helping others can be one of the best pleasures in life.
Live so you won’t regret. When you look back at your life you don’t want to be full of regrets. When we are younger we have more opportunities to take advantage of. I believe it’s better to try and fail than to never try in the first place, because then you won’t live with the regret of never trying.
Treat others the way you wish to be treated. Everybody probably knows this one, if you treat others well you deserve to be treated well yourself.
