Tips & Ways To Get Things Done
Do you ever struggle to get things done? are you always forgetting or you simply don’t have the time or motivation to complete these tasks? Below is a list of tips and ideas that can help you accomplish your goals.
Ways To Get Things Done
Create a to do list
Creating a to do list can be a great help. One of the reasons why people don’t get things done is simply because they forget. If you have a list with you, or left out in the open somewhere it will make it impossible to forget, just as long as you look at it.
Turn off the TV
Leaving the TV on while you’re trying to get some work done is a massive distraction. It always takes me longer to finish a task than it would do if I just turned off the TV. This also goes for other distractions such as being in a room with conversations going on, just go and find a quiet place to work.
Set deadlines
Set a deadline for anything that you’re currently doing. When you set a deadline and you see your set time scale coming to an end, it motivates you to work harder to complete your task within the deadline. When we don’t set time limits things can take much longer than needed to complete.
Wake up earlier
Waking up earlier will simply give you more time to get things done. Just make sure you get your much needed sleep. However, many people will stay in bed and sleep longer than needed. Get yourself out of bed and get to work.
Prioritize
Always prioritize your tasks. Don’t waste time with less important jobs, you can always come back to those less important tasks.
Reward yourself
Whenever you do complete a task, reward yourself in some way. It gives you something to look forward to, and it motivates you to complete the task. This could be something as simple as treating yourself with food or drink, playing a game of some kind or just watching your favorite TV program.
Get someone to help you
Sometimes there really is just not enough hours in the day, get help, pay them if necessary.
Break up a difficult task
If your task is complex or difficult, break it up into smaller tasks. Sometimes a big task can seem overwhelming, so break it into sections and complete the task section by section. Perhaps start with an easier section to get the ball rolling.
